Beschreibung: The announced closure of Vanilla, historically the legendary Alcatraz, on 6 January 2024 has marked an era and involved more than 3 generations with lots of passion, memories and emotions.

To bid farewell to this internationally recognised venue, enjoy will organise a series of celebratory events involving DJs and key people from the various eras to give the last great emotions again.

Saturday 21 October 2023 will be the first of a series of evenings to reach the climax with the last Historia party planned as per tradition on 25 December.

One of Alcatraz's most significant moments was certainly the period around the mid-1990s in which the discotheque in Riazzino achieved national prominence as one of the pioneering clubs in the promotion of electronic music.

Together with the Oxa and the Rohstofflager in Zurich, the Mad in Lausanne, the Stufenbau and the Guayas in Berne, to name but a few, Alcatraz made an important contribution to the development of the Swiss electronic scene, which later became a true mass phenomenon with the start of the great Swiss RAVE party scene and the explosion of the Street Parade phenomenon, an event that is now considered the biggest electronic music event in the world.

All this was made possible thanks to melodic electronic music, capable of exalting the masses, music called TRANCE.

On 21 October, Alcatraz will host for the last time in the MAIN FLOOR the Swiss idols of this era, i.e. the DJs who, in different years, have achieved recognition as Switzerland's number one DJ, Tatana, Dj Dream and Mind X. Together with them the idols of OXA, Dave 202 and DJ Nonsdrome, and the Alcatraz DJs who will be present at all the events celebrating the historic venue DJ Doom, Synergee, Never.

Alcatraz, however, is also synonymous with trendy House music, so you couldn't miss the ALCATRAZ HOUSE FLOOR with DJ Sir Colin super star of the OXA era, local favourite DJ and Producer Kenny Ground, Alex Pro, Nick Nash and Dave Martins.

We are waiting for you for one of the last nights...ALCATRAZ...here we go!
